About the event

ISP Events and Pakistan High Commission London have the pleasure to welcome you to a wonderful evening of poetry and music, featuring award-winning writers Ruth Padel and Basir Sultan Kazmi MBE. The two authors will discuss the writing process and the world today, while also sharing excerpts from their work in both English and Urdu. Weaving into the East-West narrative, talented cello player ANgel Tarpov will perform live, bringing to life compositions from both geographical hemispheres.

The event is curated by creative producer Gabriela Mocan and jointly hosted with cultural entrepreneur Faisal Shaukat.

We invite you to be part of this unique experience, where the evocative power of words and music makes its way through the crevices of memory like water flowing between the territories it unites. The event continues ISP Events’ series of East-West encounters aimed at bridging cultural divides, showcasing some of the finest creatives in literature, music, art, architecture, and more.
